Our founder Mr. Eugen Hauser, was a pioneer in organics and started his business in Montreal, Quebec late in the 1980's. After a very successful career as a public servant in various capacities for the Canadian Government, Mr. Hauser felt he could impact society faster through private enterprise. He re-established contacts with associates in his native Germany and began selling crops grown in North America. In turn, he also began to import organic items grown in Europe and elsewhere, offering them to his partners here.

He had a passion for sustainable farming and spent much time traveling from farm to farm to understand the needs of the people, the process and ensure stable supply for his customers. He truly believed in the ability of organics to change the certain destiny our world faces with the threatening rise of more and more environmental pollution, toxins and the associated consequential illness.

Genesis operates from a 30,000 sq. ft. temperature controlled warehouse located minutes from the Port of Montreal, serviced through the St. Lawrence River. We offer full or mixed container services to the port of your choice, as well as single pallet mixed FOB Montreal. We are certified organic by CAAQ, Ecocert and also are certified kosher on several products. Many products are regular stock items allowing for prompt turnaround and delivery times.

In 2003, Mr. Hauser was diagnosed with an aggressive form of abdominal cancer. After a strong fight with this terrible disease, he left us June 29, 2005.

Since then, the company hasn't change much. The same ethics and values that Mr. Hauser honoured are in place and the selection of organics has grown in check with the increased demand. The business continues to grow thanks to the involvement of his son and other key staff he had put in place.
